CREATE MORE SPACE IN YOUR LIFE! FIT MORE STUFF IN LESS SPACE! HOW?

In the current landscape of the housing market – chock full of condos in high rises – there is one thing that you will almost never hear anyone say, “I have too many closets!” Almost everybody we know is fighting a losing battle with their apartment/house or office, trying to fit in more stuff in less space. Clutter in your life and lack of space can stress you out and affect your mood and productivity. Why not create more space in your life? Here are some useful tips…

De-Clutter … De-Stress

There is a time to click the distress button when you have too much stuff in your room, and the time is now! Make a commitment to yourself and get rid of all things you don’t need. Yes, those dumb bells you were going to start lifting 3 years ago? It’s time to let go. What about all the things you ABSOLUTELY do need to keep but don’t need every day such as seasonal equipment, furniture and clothing and old but important files?   Free up space by putting them in a storage locker.

Get creative with your storage

There are some very innovative ways on the internet to create more storage in your house. Some of them may be too wacky for your taste, but some may be worth giving a shot. Having proper storage solutions will make things easier to find, help you stay organized and create more space in your life!

Think Vertically

We, humans, are so used to looking at our eye level that we discount the space above our heads and below our knees. These areas are suitable to store your rarely used or worn items that still must be accessible. Invest in a shelf, use the vertical space and use clearly labeled boxes to go with it. The idea is to get stuff off the floor!

Take Advantage of offsite storage

The simplest way to create more space? Rent a storage locker. Many facilities offer varying sizes of storage lockers that will fit your needs. Renting a small 5’ x 5’ x 10 ft high locker at a fairly reasonable price will do wonders for your mission. You can store everything you don’t need to keep in your work or living space in the locker, where it will be easy to access when you need it.
